History Of Tanjore Paintings

Tanjore or Thanjavur as it is called today acquired its name from the ancient pronunciation of the place which was then called Thanjavoor.

Tanjore paintings is an important form of classical South Indian paintings native to the town of Tanjore in Tamil Nadu, India. The art form dates back to the early 9th Century, a period dominated by the Chola rulers, who encouraged art and literature.

Tanjore paintings are known for their elegance, rich colours. In modern times, Tanjore Paintings have become souvenir during festive occasions in South India.

We are glad in introducing ourselves as a leading manufacture and exporter of Tanjore Painting. Tanjore Paintings are exported to america, egypt, uae, australia and other european countries.
